Hello! My name is Erica Batyko, and I’m a senior public relations major at Kent State University.
I’ve always had a combined love of public relations and travel. I come from a family of PR people; both my brother and father are PR practitioners. At Kent, I work as a member of the CCI Marketing Team, the JMC Ambassadors and a Registration Assistant for Destination Kent State. I also serve as the VP of Membership for PRSSA.
During the Spring 2014 semester, I studied abroad in Florence, Italy. I fell in love with traveling and foreign language studies. In Florence, I studied communications and Italian. It was an amazing experience that has encouraged me to pursue a career in international PR.
I’m currently studying Spanish and taking advantage of every opportunity to study abroad. After graduation, I hope to attend graduate school for global communication.
