odun Ishola

Personal Anthem: "I am and always will be the optimist. The hoper of far flung hopes and dreamer of improbable dreams." - Matt Smith, the Eleventh Doctor.
In my ideal world, everyone can say my full name correctly, wearing pants isn’t mandatory, tea is equivalent to water and most importantly, everyone is teeming with an unrelenting amount of live, pulsating creative energy.
My name is Odunayo Oluwakorede Abisola Ayoka Ishola. It’s okay; you can call me Odun. I was made in Lagos, Nigeria, packaged in Columbus, Ohio, with a shipping destination of New York or London. Current shipment progress: Kent, Ohio – studying advertising as a major, with a double minor in marketing and fashion design. In a nutshell, I fancy myself a life-long learner, problematic tea drinker and pants-wearing conformist.
I believe I owe it to myself to be the best version of me that I can possibly be. As cliché as that sounds, that sentiment is what really drives me in all my endeavors. One constant quote I live by is, “Anything worth doing is worth doing well.” I’m a full-time student who is working as a full-time barista in order to pay my way through school. In addition to that, I’m an active member of Franklin Advertising, the advertising club on campus, and I intern with Pamela Bayer as a blogger via Fahlgren Mortine.
My ultimate goal is to unravel a new dimension of what it means to be a creative director by following in the creative genius of my advertising idol, William (Bill) Bernbach. And ideally, I’d love to work at an international fashion agency.
When I’m not waist deep in homework, projects and work, one can find me reading a book, journaling or watching movies on Netflix, always while cradling a nice, warm cup of tea.
